From Clicks to Conversions: A Mobile UX Makeover for Gen Z Shoppers
Challenge
The platform struggled with two major issues:
- Clunky navigation: Users found it difficult to browse and filter items seamlessly.
- Slow mobile checkout: A long and tedious checkout process led to high cart abandonment rates.
For a generation that expects speed and convenience, these problems were deal-breakers. Our task was clear: redesign the user experience with a mobile-first approach and streamline the checkout process.
Solution
We took a deep dive into user behavior and came up with a tailored solution:
Built a custom mobile-first theme using React Native - We designed an intuitive and lightweight mobile theme that mimicked the experience of a native app. This new design improved navigation, making it easier for users to browse categories, apply filters, and explore curated collections without delay. The interface was optimized for touch gestures, ensuring effortless swiping, scrolling, and quick product previews.
Integrated one-tap payments - We simplified the checkout process by incorporating Apple Pay and Google Pay. This allowed users to complete purchases with a single tap, eliminating the need to enter long card details manually. The integration also ensured secure transactions and reduced the friction that often led to abandoned carts.
